NATO Awards Rapiscan Systems $5 Million Contract for Integrated Security Screening Solution; Major Security Inspection Purchase Combines Vehicle, Cargo, Baggage and Personnel Screening Systems Rapiscan Systems, Inc., a leading global supplier of security inspection solutions, announced today that, following a global competitive tender, it has been awarded a $5 million USD contract by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to provide an integrated security screening solution that includes advanced vehicle, cargo, baggage and personnel screening systems. This state of the art equipment will be used to inspect vehicles, cargo, personnel and baggage. Rapiscan Systems, President, Ajay Mehra, stated, "We are pleased NATO has chosen Rapiscan to meet its requirements for reliable and comprehensive threat detection. This award demonstrates our ability to provide end-to-end, layered security screening solutions that address a wide-range of threats in the most demanding environments." The award by NATO is the latest in a number of recent awards to Rapiscan Systems for integrated security systems that combine cargo, vehicle and personnel screening. Within the past twelve months, Rapiscan has also received contracts from the U.S. government, UK Customs, the European Union and multiple customers in Asia and the Middle East.
