Overview

ATLAS ELEKTRONIK GmbH is an electronics and systems company which specialises in electronics equipment and systems for defence requirements.
The company has a sound technology base and product range including "sensor-to-shooter" chains for Submarines, Surface Vessels and Mine Counter Measures (MCM) and supplies worldwide:

  • All variants of sonar systems for submarines, antisubmarine warfare and minehunting
  • Integrated command and control systems for submarines, surface vessels and mine countermeasure boats
  • Heavy-weight torpedoes and small size anti torpedo weapons
  • Mine disposal vehicles and AUV's

As a systems specialist, our competence and experience cover entire functional chains with all key elements:

  • From hydrophones to display of processed data
  • From sensor input to effector control and effectors to the weapon
  • From operational software to man-machine interfaces

ISUS – The Ultimate Submarine System

Sensors and integrated command systems for submarines.

IMCMS Double Display Multifunction Console (MFC) – Training of seamen for Mine Countermeasures.

SeaFox – a qualified one shot mine disposal weapon

Coastal Surveillance / VTS-Centers by ATLAS ELEKTRONIK can be found all over the world.

SeaOtter Mk1 – an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle for shallow or medium water during harbour inspection trial.

The ATLAS Integrated Sensor Underwater System - ISUS is a sea proven combat system, designed for use onboard conventional submarines of all sizes and for all missions. It ensures optimum support for the operator and command team alike. Sensor management, fire and weapon control, navigation and support functions are all implemented with a high degree of automatic control and comprise an advanced man-machine interface.
A worldwide customer base underline ISUS as the leading combat system for conventional submarines.

Finally the new generation SeaHake, the company's heavy weight torpedo product range, is completing the submarine "sensor-to-shooter" chain.

IMCMS – The Ultimate Mine Countermeasure Systems

The highly Integrated Mine Counter Measure System IMCMS-S complies with the most demanding MCM requirements ever called for in MCM applications. It combines Minehunting, Minesweeping, Mine Disposal, Surveillance and Communication with other naval forces.

This comprehensive system is commissioned by the Royal Swedish Navy, while ATLAS is prime contractor and system integrator. All equipment of the IMCMS-S is supplied by ATLAS. It is based on the IMCMS, which is under contract for the upgrade of 10 Dutch Alkmaar and 6 Belgian Flower Class MCM vessels.

IMCMS-S fully integrates further sensors and effectors like Self-propelled Variable Depth Sonar, Underwater Positioning System, Navigation Radar, Navigation Sensors, conventional MIDS systems, and Air Defence System.

Maritime Safety & Security

Ports and Seaways are the primary gateways for global trade and commerce. Harbours are the nerve centres of the international supply chain. Offshore oil and gas production, wind farms, fisheries and marine biotechnology are important industrial resources of maritime countries – imperative for protection.

Safety and Security tasks in this marine environment deserve highest priorities anywhere around the world. Shipping and the related infrastructure is quite vulnerable, not only to terrorist attacks. As the past has shown, this applies even to naval vessels in ports. Simple explosives, launched above or under water can cause tremendous damage and pollution if targeted to a port or oil refinery.

The ATLAS CSS 9800 Coastal Surveillance System and Underwater Surveillance Systems(UUVs) can support port authorities and other security organisations in early detection of such threats and in fending them off.

Technology and know-how in sensors, signal processing, command + control and underwater vehicles are the basis for the development of efficient, competitive and reliable products – our contribution to ensure the continued freedom and safety of navigation.
